Getting around in ZanteLocated at close proximity to Greece’s west coast in the Ionian Sea is the Island of Zante which is also referred to as Zakynthos. Beauty is an understatement when it comes to describing this Island. Famed for its unique appeal, Zante has risen to become a famous tourist destination with wildlife, natural fabulous beaches and a lot of activities to do.

Many Best Beaches in Zante surround the Island and there are also mountains on the west. Tall white cliffs and sparkling ocean waters can be spotted in the Island. There are many towns located in this Island and getting around is also simple. The road public transport system is stable and one can also opt to use the special hire car services. There are several companies that offer these services to visitors on the island. However, it is advisable to make early reservations before you get to the island because the demand during the peak season is usually very high.

Laganas is one of the main towns that are located in Zante Island. It is a great place to go with your family. The restaurants (more info on Fine Dining in Zante) serve some of the finest local delicacies with a touch of some of the famous international cuisines. The bars are more traditional in their appearance which greatly adds on to the beauty of the place. The beaches found in this town host the Logger head turtles which is an endangered kind of species. Special boat rides and water sports can also be enjoyed. You can use the services of a tour guide to assist you get around the Island and enjoy some of the best spots. However, this will cost some money though it is worth it as you get to explore the Island in totality.

Taking a daily cruise as you enjoy the natural beauty of the Island is a great idea. You can use a ferry to enjoy some of the best cruises. The booking offices are located within the strip of the Island and hence should not be very difficult to come by.

If you decide to hire a car, the roads are easy to go through. The infrastructure is recommendable. Simply ensure that you have got a driving license from an EU country. For EU non citizens, they must comply to the international driving license requirements of the country.
