Winery Tour in ZanteInformation about a Winery Tour in Zante

While you visit Greece on vacation, there are numerous ways to experience local culture. When visiting a foreign country it is always fun to try things first hand. One way to immerse yourself in the Greek culture is to take a winery tour in Zante. This is an activity that will allow you to taste both wine and cuisine all while learning about the wine making process. If you are traveling with a group, many places offer a group rate which is always the best deal. Winery tours are also romantic if you are traveling with your significant other.

Before you make reservations for a winery tour in Zante, it is a good idea to research the place you want to go. Often, you can go on the company's website and see hat types of wine they offer and their prices. It is best to choose a well established winery to be sure you will have the best experience. On the website, you can also see pictures of the winery and even read testimonials written by guests who've visited and went on a tour.

Money Saving Tip #6
Use Travelex.com to get the best rates on your currency (better than the Post Office!).

Since there are many wineries and vineyards in Zante, it is possible to visit multiple places in one day. You can map out all of the places you want to visit. This is a good option if you have an entire day to fill. After this, you are sure to be an expert on Greek wine and how it is made. Even better, you will have tasted an array of different wines throughout the day. This is a good plan if you have reliable transportation (more info on Public Transport in Zante) such as a Car Hire in Zante.

Visiting a winery and going on a tour in Zante is a different experience than anywhere else in the world. This area is up-and-coming with new wineries opening all the time. In addition, older ones are remodeling and trying new types of wine in in order to keep things fresh. One couple who have started a boutique winery called Oenolpi, mix local grapes with more common varieties to produce drinkable and fresh wines. Their winery was bought by their family in the 1960's. This is a prime example of the local wineries trying to attract tourists by being creative and innovative.
