The History Of Zante

Zante is the third largest of the Ionian islands. The full name of this islad is actually Zakynthos. There are a few stories as to how the island was first inhabitted, although the most prevalently accepted is that the island was first settled in 1500BC. These individuals were Achaians from Psofida. The coins and structures from the that time period substantiate these beliefs.
